Applied internship training

Build the experience your first internship expects you to already have.

A structured 3-month UI/UX and Product Design practicum with guided project work, mentor feedback and portfolio-ready case studies, before you apply for real internships and junior roles.

The experience loop

“Get experience first” is difficult when nobody gives you the first opportunity.

Freshers hear the same advice repeatedly: build a portfolio, get an internship, work on real projects, show experience. But beginners get stuck in a loop.

  1. You need work to build a portfolio.

  2. You need a portfolio to get shortlisted.

  3. You need an internship to get work experience.

This program exists to help you build the practice layer before the employment layer.

You will work through structured product briefs in an internship-style workflow:

  1. Brief
  2. Research
  3. Flow
  4. Design
  5. Review
  6. Revision
  7. Presentation
  8. Case Study

It is not fake employment. It is deliberate supervised practice.

What it is

What is ProdXVerse Applied Internship Training?

ProdXVerse Applied Internship Training is a three-month learner-funded UI/UX practicum where participants complete supervised design projects, receive mentor feedback, practise product workflows and build portfolio-ready case studies. Successful completion can earn a ProdXVerse training certificate, but the program is not employment and does not provide a stipend.

Why not just call it a course?

Because the learning model is based on doing the work. A traditional course often starts with content. This practicum starts with responsibility.

  1. You receive a brief.

  2. You make decisions.

  3. You submit work.

  4. You get reviewed.

  5. You revise it.

  6. You explain it.

  7. You meet completion expectations.

That is why we use Internship Training / Applied Practicum rather than pretending it is a normal job internship.

Your work

Work through the kind of product problems beginners are expected to understand.

Product Briefs

You receive structured problems with a target user, context and expected outcome.

Not only “Redesign Spotify.” Instead, you work with constraints and decisions.

Research & Problem Framing

Understand the user problem, review competitors, document assumptions and decide what needs to be solved.

Information Architecture & User Flows

Map content, journeys, happy paths, edge cases and the sequence of actions.

Wireframes

Explore structure before spending time on visual polish.

UI Design

Apply hierarchy, typography, spacing, states, responsiveness and accessibility basics.

Design Systems

Use reusable components and consistent states instead of designing every screen independently.

Prototype & Testing

Make the flow interactive and review where a user could get confused.

Review & Revision

Respond to mentor feedback and improve the work instead of submitting one final version.

Case Study

Turn the process into a portfolio story you can explain in interviews.

Final Presentation

Present the work and answer questions about your decisions.

Outcomes

The certificate is one output. It should not be the main one.

Learners who complete the required work can finish with:

2-3

portfolio-ready project pieces

The exact number depends on project depth and cohort format.

At least one detailed case study

Show the problem, process, decisions, revisions and final solution.

Practical Figma work

Components, responsive layouts, prototypes and project organisation.

Product / SaaS exposure

Work with realistic interface states and workflows.

Mentor feedback history

Evidence of iteration, not just a polished final screen.

Project presentation practice

Learn to explain what you did and what you would change.

Resume / portfolio direction

Where included in the cohort.

Completion certificate

Issued only after the required work is completed.

What certificate do you receive?

Certificate of Completion - Applied UI/UX Internship Training

  • We do not issue an “Employment Experience Letter” unless the learner genuinely worked in an employment / company internship arrangement.
  • We do not claim that the certificate proves professional work experience.

That protects both the learner and ProdXVerse.

After the practicum

What happens after the practicum?

Strong participants may be considered for separate genuine project or internship opportunities through Desisle or the extended network when suitable work is available.

That opportunity depends on:

  • quality of work
  • reliability
  • communication
  • current project requirements
  • mentor recommendation
  • availability

It is not guaranteed and should never be the reason someone pays for this program.

The guaranteed part is the training experience described on this page.

Who it is for

This program can make sense if...

You are a college student

You want practical work before applying for internships.

You are a fresher

Your resume has education and tools but little work you can discuss.

You are self-taught

You have learned through YouTube or online courses but need structured project review.

You are switching careers

You need supervised practice before competing for entry-level Product Design opportunities.

You already know basic Figma

You want to turn tool knowledge into a complete UX process and portfolio story.

Do not join if...

If your only goal is a certificate, there are easier and cheaper options. This program is built for the work.

  • you believe paying the fee means you automatically receive an employment internship
  • you want a stipend
  • you only need a certificate
  • you do not want to complete project work
  • you expect an experience letter for work you did not perform for a real employer
  • you expect guaranteed placement
  • you want somebody else to build your portfolio

Can I join with no UI/UX experience?

Yes, if the batch is marked beginner-friendly.

Absolute beginners may need extra time in the first few weeks. If you already have UI/UX foundations, you can spend more energy on project depth and portfolio quality. A short pre-program assessment can be used to group learners appropriately.

Supervision

What makes the work “supervised”?

A project is not supervised just because someone gives you a PDF brief. The program includes defined review checkpoints:

  1. problem / brief review

  2. research / insights review

  3. IA and flow review

  4. wireframe critique

  5. UI / system critique

  6. prototype review

  7. case-study review

  8. final presentation

The exact review format is published for each batch. If reviews are group-based, we say group-based. If 1:1 reviews are included, we say how many.

AI in the practicum

Will AI do the work for me? No.

AI can help you:

  • summarise research
  • explore options
  • improve UX copy
  • generate questions
  • audit obvious gaps
  • speed documentation

But your final work should still show your decisions.

A designer drawing a wireframe on a tablet

You should be able to answer:

Why did you choose this flow?

What did AI suggest that you rejected?

What did you verify yourself?

What would you test with users?

That is much more useful than hiding AI use.

Program fee

You are paying for training, supervision and project review.

Programme Fee / Training Fee

Fee shared on enquiry

Learner-funded training. Not employment. No stipend.

Before payment, we clearly show:

  • total duration
  • live session schedule
  • review frequency
  • number/type of projects
  • certificate requirements

Internship Training FAQs

Is this a real internship?

It is a structured internship-training / practicum program, not employment. You complete supervised project work in an internship-style process, but you are not hired as an employee or intern by ProdXVerse simply by enrolling.

Do students have to pay for this program?

Yes. The learner pays a training fee for the curriculum, project briefs, mentor reviews, supervision and portfolio guidance. There is no stipend.

Why do you call it internship training instead of a course?

Because the learning model is based on assigned briefs, review checkpoints, revision and final project presentation rather than only classes. We still state clearly that it is learner-funded training, not employment.

Will I get an internship certificate?

Learners who meet the completion criteria can receive a Certificate of Completion for Applied UI/UX Internship Training. It confirms completion of the training program; it is not an employment experience letter.

Will I get an experience letter?

Not for the learner-funded practicum alone. An employment/internship experience letter should only be issued when you have genuinely worked in a separate company internship or project arrangement that qualifies for one.

Is there a stipend?

No. This training program does not pay a stipend.

Can I get a real internship after completing it?

You can use your improved portfolio to apply to companies. Strong learners may also be considered for separate opportunities through Desisle or the extended network when suitable roles exist. No internship is guaranteed.

Can I join without a portfolio?

Yes. Building stronger portfolio work is one of the main goals.

Can I join without UI/UX experience?

Yes, for beginner-friendly batches. The first month covers foundations before moving into deeper project work.

Is this suitable for freshers?

Yes. The program is designed around the early-career problem of needing practical work and portfolio evidence before applying for internships and junior roles.

Is it online?

The program can be delivered live online. Offline availability is shown only for cohorts where it is genuinely offered.

Is it available in Bengaluru?

ProdXVerse is based in Bengaluru. Delivery mode and any physical batch details are stated on the current cohort page.

How long is the program?

The recommended structure is three months / approximately 12 weeks.

How many projects will I complete?

The target is 2-3 portfolio-ready pieces with at least one detailed case study, but quality and project depth matter more than counting screens.

Will I work on client projects?

Not automatically. Projects can be internal briefs, realistic industry briefs or supervised exercises. A project is called client work only when a real client provided the work and approved its use.

Will I learn Figma?

Yes. Figma is used for wireframing, UI design, systems and prototyping as part of the workflow.

Will I learn UX research?

Yes. The program covers practical research and problem-framing fundamentals relevant to beginner product work.

Will I learn AI tools?

Yes. AI-assisted research, writing, ideation and documentation can be used throughout the practicum, with emphasis on reviewing the quality of AI output.

Do you guarantee a job?

No. The program helps you build skills, portfolio evidence and career readiness. Hiring decisions belong to employers.

Why should I pay for internship training when I can apply for free internships?

If you already have a strong portfolio and can secure a genuine company internship, take that route. This program is for learners who need structured supervised practice before they are competitive for those opportunities.

Can colleges sponsor students for this program?

Yes. Colleges can discuss sponsored seats, group cohorts or institutional versions through the For Colleges page.

Build before you apply

Your first job application should not be the first time someone reviews your work seriously.

Build the practice. Take the feedback. Fix the weak parts. Then apply with stronger proof.
